Refund & Shipping Policy

Welcome to HomeCake.in! We strive to ensure that your cake experience is as sweet and smooth as possible. Please read our Refund and Cancellation Policy carefully before placing an order.


1. Order Cancellation

For Customers:

  1. Standard Cakes: Orders may be canceled up to 12 hours before the scheduled delivery time for a full refund.
  2. Customized Cakes: Orders for personalized or made-to-order cakes must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance. No refund will be provided if the cancellation is made after this period.
  3. Same-day or Express Orders: These are non-refundable once confirmed due to immediate preparation by the baker.

How to Cancel:

  1. Please contact us at info@homecake.in or via WhatsApp (+91 9944 9955 40) with your order number and reason for cancellation.


2. Delivery Time & Slots

Standard Delivery

  1. Delivery is usually available between 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
  2. Customers can select their preferred date and time slot during checkout.
  3. Usually, it takes 8 to 10 hours from the time the customer places the order for the cake to be prepared and delivered, depending on complexity and baker availability.

Same-Day Delivery

  1. Available only with selected bakers.
  2. Orders must be placed before the cut-off time mentioned on the product page.
  3. Same-day orders cannot be modified or cancelled once confirmed.

Custom or Large Cake Orders

  1. Delivery time may vary based on preparation complexity.
  2. Baker will confirm additional time if required.

Delivery Coverage

  1. HomeCake.in currently delivers across selected locations within Tamil Nadu and nearby regions.
  2. Delivery availability depends on the home baker’s service area.
  3. At checkout, you will be notified if delivery is available to your PIN code.


3. Returns

Due to nature of our product return are not available.


4. Refunds

Refunds are processed in the following situations:

  1. Non-Delivery: If your cake is not delivered and the issue is not resolved within a reasonable time.
  2. Wrong or Damaged Item: If the delivered item is not what was ordered or is significantly damaged (with valid photo proof submitted at the same time of delivery).
  3. Seller Cancellation: If the home baker cancels the order from their end.

Refunds are not applicable in the following cases:

  1. Taste or design preferences not matching expectations (for custom cakes)
  2. Incorrect delivery address or unavailability at the time of delivery
  3. Delayed delivery due to factors beyond our control (traffic, weather, etc.)


5. Refund Process

  1. Once approved, refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days.
  2. Refunds are made to the original payment method (UPI, card, wallet, etc.).
  3. In some cases, you may be offered store credit or a re-delivery as an alternative.
